At Northtowne Lincoln of Kansas City, we're excited to announce a groundbreaking development in the world of electric vehicles (EVs) that might just make you reconsider your next car purchase. Lincoln has taken a bold step forward, and we're happy to be a part of it.

Recently, Lincoln and Ford retail customers have become the first among non-Tesla automakers to gain access to Tesla Superchargers throughout the U.S. and Canada. This partnership opens up over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers, effectively doubling the accessibility of reliable DC fast charging on Ford and Lincoln's BlueOval™ Charge Network.

Future Ford and Lincoln electric vehicles, starting with model year 2025, will incorporate the Tesla connector, known as the North American Charging Standard or NACS. In addition, current Ford and Lincoln EV owners will have access to Superchargers starting in the spring of 2024 via a CCS-to-Tesla connector/adapter.  CCS, which stands for Combined Charging System, is a type of rapid-charging connector for electric vehicles, and is favored across Europe and North America.

But why does this matter? According to a recent Cox Automotive Consumer Sentiment Study, the lack of charging stations ranks as the second most significant barrier to purchasing an electric vehicle, right after price. As EV prices continue to decrease, improving access to reliable fast charging becomes crucial in helping more customers confidently choose an EV.

So, are you ready to make the switch to electric vehicles? With access to Tesla Superchargers, complimentary Fast Charging Adapters, and seamless charging experiences, there's never been a better time to join the electric revolution.
